The picture above shows us the amount of waste in a silo that has been compressed. The MBPP & MBSP trucks that you see going around your neighbourhood to pick up your household waste will then be sent to a waste transfer station to be compressed before sending to the landfill. This is to ensure , the spaces in the silos are fully utilised.
Consider this: Penangnites alone generate a staggering 1800 tonnes of waste on a daily basis. Can you imagine the magnitude of the problem we face? It's time to acknowledge the impact of our actions and make a change for the better.
